Make your M4-M5 EIS submission

WestConnex - We Deserve Better  - Make your submission now

We know that WestConnex will not reduce congestion on Sydney's roads and will leave a legacy of increased toxic pollution and harmful health impacts, loss of green space, fractured communities and expensive tolls levied on commuters for generations to come.

It's important that you let the government know what you think of this project by making a submission on the latest Environment Impact Statement for Stage 3, the M4-M5 Link.

We've compiled a list of reasons why WestConnex will be a disaster and you can use some of these to add to your submission, but it's also important to add your personal comments about why you object to this project as well.

Let the NSW Liberal National government know that We Deserve Better than WestConnex! Make your submission now before the cut off date of October 16.

If you would like to view all the EIS documents, or have made any donations to a political party, you can make your submission via the NSW government's Planning site here.

Global experience of major toll road construction has demonstrated conclusively that these projects are enormously expensive and counter-productive.

WestConnex will increase air pollution and global warming and encourage more car use, quickly filling the increased road capacity. It is not a sustainable solution to Sydney's congestion problem. The impacts on the health and well-being of local community’s both in the construction and operation phases are unacceptable.

The fact that the State Government released this EIS just 2 weeks after submissions closed for comment on the M4-M5 Link Concept Design, undermines community confidence that this is a genuine consultation process.

Additionally, the 8 week consultation period for this EIS is inadequate and does not allow sufficient time for all stakeholders to articulate why this project must not proceed.
