As a result of strong advocacy by the Greens state MPs and community activists, the NSW Parliament has finally established an inquiry into the impact of the WestConnex Project. The Inquiry is now accepting public submissions - make a submission today.
It’s clear that the WestConnex project is deeply flawed. Back in 2016 Jenny Leong MP convened the Peoples' WestConnex Inquiry in the NSW Parliament as the Liberal National government would not agree to an inquiry back then.
WestConnex is already having and will continue to have significant negative impacts on communities living in its wake and those who will forced to use it but the Liberal Premier and WestConnex and Transport Ministers have refused to take responsibility.
To assist with making your submission we have listed the Terms of Reference here and some additional info here including the NSW Greens submissions on the WestConnex Environmental Impact Statements, media statements and the Peoples' WestConnex Inquiry transcripts and videos.
By making a submission, you can ensure that the Inquiry hears your specific concerns about the WestConnex project.
You can also make a submission directly on the NSW Parliament site.
